Alisha Bailey is a current J.D. Candidate at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, Lakehead University. As a first generation Canadian-Jamaican, she witnessed the struggles of her family as they migrated to a new country with limited support and resources. Alisha graduated from York University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Rights and Equity Studies. Alisha was most recently the 1L Representative (2024-2025) for the Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA) Lakehead University Chapter, and she will be serving as the Vice President of Equity within the Lakehead Law Students’ Society, and as the President of BLSA Lakehead for the 2025-2026 school year. She is excited to work with Level and other advocates to champion change for marginalized communities and increase access to justice and justice education. In addition to her passion for human rights and the law, Alisha is a lover of music, apologetics, sports, and cooking.
