FARAH EL BARDISSI

Summer Law Student

Farah is a current JD candidate at the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science, which helped lay the foundation for her interest in legal systems and social justice. A second-generation Egyptian-Canadian, Farah understands the challenges that come with navigating unfamiliar systems as a newcomer. At the same time, she witnessed the positive impact of community support and specialized educational programs designed to help newcomers adapt—small efforts that made a big difference in her own life. These experiences have shaped her commitment to human rights and access to justice, and inspired her to contribute to Level’s mission of supporting marginalized communities. Farah will be serving as the Vice-President of Communications for the Middle Eastern and North African Law Student Association at the University of Ottawa for the 2025–2026 academic year. Outside of her legal pursuits, she enjoys painting, dancing, and spending time in her garden.
