Karen is a former journalist and current law student who has always been drawn to people’s stories. Her background in journalism taught her how to listen carefully, ask good questions, and explain complicated ideas in a way that feels clear and approachable.

Through her work in court services, legal research, and community-focused roles, Karen has become especially interested in making the law feel less intimidating. She cares deeply about access to justice, equity, and anti-racism, and hopes to help students feel more comfortable, curious, and confident when learning about the legal system.

Outside of law school, Karen is usually drinking tea, baking something sweet, spending time with animals, lifting heavy at the gym, or trying to make everyday life feel a little softer, funnier, and more calm.
