Indigenous Youth Outreach Program
Misko Banaishe (kwe/she/her) is a proud Midewiwin (from the Three Fires Lodge), Inuk, Anishinaabe women from Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake Nunavut) and Bkejwanong (Walpole Island, Ontario) of the Marten clan, who grew up in south-western Ontario.
Misko has graduated from The University of Western Ontario with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology with a double minor in Indigenous Studies and Dance, while at Western she was a prominent student leader on campus and active in the Indigenous community. While at Western University she helped the voices of Indigenous students on campus be heard and plan educational, traditional and social events for the Indigenous community.
Misko has been a part of Level Justice since 2019 as a facilitator and on the Indigenous Youth Outreach Program Advisory Board. She is happy to be a part of a great organization (like Level) and be sharing her knowledge with the youth.
Outside of work and academia, Misko enjoys spending time with her corgi, Bella, or crafting like beading and sewing.
