On Thursday, March 8, 2018, Heather McKay, a longstanding volunteer in Level’s Calgary Indigenous Youth Outreach Program (IYOP), generously hosted a fundraising event for Level.

Whether it’s a bake sale, human rights conference or a dinner party hosted for friends, every fundraising event and every donation makes a significant impact.

This post will provide an overview of the evolution of women’s rights and it will conclude with a few suggestions on how to get involved on International Women’s Day 2017.

This piece will focus on the mistreatment of Indigenous women and girls and how non-Indigenous people can get involved and contribute to the process of reconciliation. 

Level has received a new grant of $60,000 from The Law Foundation of Ontario for “Dare to Dream,” Level’s specialized justice education program for Indigenous youth throughout Canada.
