We’re Recruiting: Volunteers & Community Partners for the Environmental Justice Program

Are you a legal professional working in and/or passionate about environmental justice? Are you interested in mentoring and supporting the next generation of environmental advocates?

The Environmental Justice Program is seeking volunteers and community partners to help with in-classroom activities and talk to youth about careers in environmental law.

Volunteers

We are seeking individuals to volunteer to support EJP sessions in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Halifax, and Montreal. Volunteers will assist the Program Facilitators with running in-classroom activities, including a Mock Negotiation and reflection circles.

Each program contains 8 sessions, and each session is 1 hour. Volunteer support is most needed for the last 3 sessions of the program.

Commmunity Partners

We are looking to partner with firms and organizations engaged in environmental justice work Ottawa, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Halifax, and Montreal to speak to students about career options.

Community Partners are invited into EJP classrooms to speak for about 15-20 minutes about their work and career paths. Visiting partners are also welcome to stay for the remainder of the session to support the Facilitator.
